Thanks for taking a look at Dixies View, I am a free & motivated spirit with political, religious & other opinions & points of view that I have NO problem sharing. I live in the beautiful state of Colorado with my hubby & 2 girls. I also work in a Village Inn as a server. I do not agree with our present day obtrusive, aggresive administration. I lean towards the 3rd Largest Political Party in the Nation the Libertarians.
There is no war on Terrorism - There is a war on Freedom.
"As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air - however slight - lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness." Justice William O. Douglas
Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (USA PATRIOT ACT) is a bone chilling document that tears at the very core of America & all that it was founded upon.
So much has gone on since 2000 when Dubya got "SELECTED" to the Presidency. He has changed our "world as we know it" just like the act on 9/11 "changed our world as we know it". These changes infringe upon the rights that your forefathers preserved with the shedding of there "BLOOD" in many wars. The reasons given are not worth the 'BLOOD" of yours or my forefathers. I will not stand by and watch the United States of America fold into a Nation of Totalitarism.
Definition of Totalitarism
Totalitarianism is a typology employed by political scientists, especially those in the field of comparative politics, to describe modern regimes in which the state regulates nearly every aspect of public and private behavior. Totalitarian regimes mobilize entire populations in support of the state and a political ideology, and do not tolerate activities by individuals or groups such as labor unions, churches and political parties that are not directed toward the state's goals. They maintain themselves in power by means of secret police, propaganda disseminated through the state-controlled mass media, regulation and restriction of free discussion and criticism, and widespread use of terror tactics. Critics of the concept contend that the term lacks explanatory power. They argue that governments which are often classified as totalitarian may not be as monolithic as they appear from the outside, since they may hide a political process in which several groups, such as the army, political leaders, industrialists, and others, compete for power and influence.
There is so much to share with you, that it cannot all be done in a day.

Hey did you hear Dubya last night when welcoming the "Queen" he stated she had been with us since 1776 -uhhh! that makes her REALLY OLD. So once again Dubya sticks foot in mouth publically.
